As a Senior Software Engineer at CodeGen International, you will be an integral part of our engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software products. You will focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions while acting as a subject matter expert and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build secure, high-performance web application features using Angular or React, delivering seamless experiences for our enterprise travel product.
• Design, implement, and deliver scalable backend web services with RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and a microservices-oriented architecture.
• Ensure code quality, scalability, maintainability, security, and performance across all product developments.
• Take end-to-end ownership of software delivery, from development to production deployment.
• Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across multiple product modules.
• Mentor and guide junior developers while collaborating with Tech Leads and Architects on system design.
• Actively contribute to Agile/Scrum processes and promote software development best practices.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 03 to 04 years of total hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) capacity.
• Deep technical expertise with modern frontend tech stacks (HTML, CSS, and Angular or React).
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies (Oracle, MySQL) & JPA.
• Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID principles, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong analytical thinking & excellent problem-solving skills with a proven track record in past projects.
• Proven ability to leverage agentic AI coding assistants to accelerate development workflows, optimize code generation, and increase overall engineering velocity.
• Growth mindset, clear communication, and sound leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platform deployments.
• Experience engaging directly with clients to translate business challenges into robust technical solutions.
