About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Engineer for automation (m/w/d) to join our team at HAZEMAG & EPR GmbH in Dülmen. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and continuously enhancing innovative software solutions that support our machinery and systems. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our automation processes, ensuring seamless integration, and providing top-tier technical support to our international clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance automation solutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a successfully completed degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification such as a technical diploma with relevant experience in special machine construction. You should have several years of hands-on experience in structured PLC programming, commissioning, and optimizing machinery and systems. Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, electrical drive technology, and inverter systems is essential. Additionally, strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols like PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA is required. Willingness to undertake occasional international travel is also necessary to support global operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and continuously improve innovative software solutions for HAZEMAG machinery and systems.
• Create and maintain standard software modules, as well as develop custom software solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.
• Design and implement modern visualization systems to enhance user interfaces and operational monitoring.
• Configure and set up communication interfaces, cloud integrations, and database connections to ensure seamless data exchange and system connectivity.
• Participate in the commissioning, testing, and validation of complete control and drive systems both in our manufacturing facilities and at international customer sites.
