2. About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer, Conversion plays a key role on the Conversion Engineering team, focusing on optimizing the borrower application journey to improve conversion rates and revenue. This role involves developing and enhancing user-facing systems critical to the loan application process, contributing to technical strategy, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to implement new product flows and model improvements. The position directly impacts the organization''s ability to convert applicants into borrowers efficiently.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop user-facing features to enhance loan application and rate check experiences, driving conversion improvements.

• Maintain full-stack web applications by monitoring system metrics such as latency and error rates.

• Contribute to the design and development of a scalable, platform-wide funding form supporting multiple products.

• Improve system performance, reliability, and operational health for features under ownership.

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience plus four years in the field.

• Experience delivering end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems, including APIs and microservices.

• Strong frontend development skills focused on customer-facing web applications with attention to performance and usability.

• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience optimizing conversion funnels or user journeys through experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).

• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Experience in fintech or regulated, high-availability environments.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Anticipated base salary range: $142,000—$196,600 USD, varying by location and candidate qualifications.

• Compensation includes base pay, target bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.
