About the Job

WorkinVirtual Private Limited is hiring a Software Engineer for a full-time, 100% remote opportunity open to qualified candidates worldwide.

You will help design, build, test, maintain, and improve production software across WorkinVirtual's platform and supporting systems.

We're looking for an engineer who is comfortable working with application features, APIs, databases, integrations, testing, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of professional software engineering or software development experience.

Compensation: $35–$45 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain production software.
• Develop user-facing application features.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Work with databases and application data.
• Integrate internal and external services.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Test and debug software.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Improve application performance and reliability.
• Contribute to technical planning.
• Maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Participate in deployment and release workflows.
• Collaborate with a distributed remote team.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional software-development experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals.
• Experience with at least one modern backend programming language.
• Web application or software-service development experience.
• REST API experience.
• Database experience.
• Git/version-control experience.
• Testing and debugging skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote engineering environment.

Experience with technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, PHP, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Docker, CI/CD, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is helpful.

You do not need experience with every technology listed.

100% Remote

This is a 100% remote worldwide position.

Candidates must be legally permitted to perform remote work from their country of residence and maintain at least 4 hours of working-day overlap with New York / US Eastern Time (ET).

Remote onboarding and training are provided.

Candidates need a reliable development computer, stable high-speed internet, and a suitable professional remote workspace.

No office attendance, relocation, or travel is required.
