About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team within the Haufe Group. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in scaling our product offerings, developing new features, and optimizing existing processes to enhance user experience for thousands of small and micro-business clients. Your technical expertise will drive the implementation of innovative solutions, leveraging modern architecture and AI integration to shape the future of our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and other developers, to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to take end-to-end responsibility for significant projects, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of professional experience in backend and frontend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and maintainable systems.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development, complemented by experience with React, TypeScript, and Material UI for frontend interfaces.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and migration techniques.
• Experience working within cloud environments, particularly AWS, and familiarity with cloud-native development practices.
• Knowledge of AI-native engineering principles and experience in integrating AI and automated workflows into software products is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in German (minimum C2 level) to effectively collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset, and the capacity to bridge technical and non-technical disciplines to foster collaboration.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from defining requirements during discovery phases to delivery and deployment, ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Contribute to the design and development of a modern microservice architecture that ensures seamless communication between services and supports scalable growth.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other developers to create intuitive, efficient, and innovative user experiences.
• Drive the integration of AI and automation into our products, actively shaping how these technologies are used to support business growth.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and approaches to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Build bridges across disciplines, ensuring alignment between development, product, UX, and other business units for cohesive project execution.
