Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end systems and tools that support MANSTRACON’s consulting services and internal operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing scalable APIs, integrating data sources, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability and security of software solutions. The role involves collaborating with consultants and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and delivering clean, maintainable code. The Software Engineer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of the engineering stack and processes.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-ready applications.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including API design, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and best practices for modular, maintainable code.
  • Experience with modern development tools (version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks) and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in consulting, startups, or SME environments, and familiarity with data-driven decision-making, is an advantage.
