About The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at Vaco LLC, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications that serve in a regulated SaaS environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, quality assurance, and other engineering specialists to deliver secure, compliant, and high-performance software solutions. Your expertise in modern technologies such as Java, Angular, Spring Boot, reactive architectures, and relational databases will be essential in building innovative features that address both customer and business needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical projects, mentor junior engineers, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
• Strong proficiency in Java (preferably versions 17-22), JavaScript, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks and tools including Angular or React, Spring Boot & Spring Reactive, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and version control systems like Git/GitLab.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), along with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber for API testing.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-Driven Architecture, and Reactive Programming principles.
• Experience working within Agile or Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments.
• Proficiency with release management and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as Jira.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, regulated environment.
  
  

Preferred qualifications include over 3 years of experience in SaaS product development or regulated environments such as healthcare, biomedical, or life sciences, as well as exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support SaaS-based solutions within an agile team structure, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Create and maintain innovative software solutions that meet evolving customer and business requirements.
• Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production support, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.
• Implement and advocate for automation in testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain software quality, ensure maintainability, and adhere to compliance standards.
• Assess system enhancements and releases for their potential impact on business processes and end-users.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and support validation efforts in a regulated environment.
• Develop a deep understanding of business processes to deliver technology solutions that enable organizational success.
