Payrate: $95.00- $95.99/hr.
Summary:
As a ML Research Engineer, you will be contributing towards building the next generation of AI models. You will play a role in performing a qualitative analysis of data and will also be responsible for developing. Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner. In addition, you will also write SQL queries to further process the data. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Python scripts to parse and download large datasets from the web in an efficient manner
- Write SQL queries to further process the data
- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug software applications
- Ensure software applications meet quality and performance standards
- Provide timely solutions to technical issues
- Document software applications and ensure documentation is up-to-date
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language
- Proficient in working with Linux systems and writing shell scripts
- Proficient in writing SQL queries
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience working on large-scale software development projects
- 6+ years of experience (or equivalent) in research engineering, ML engineering, or systems/software engineering with ML implementation work.
- Coding background in Python, PyTorch and SQL
- Publications of their work and experience giving presentations at top conferences showcasing their research
- Soft Skills - Looking for someone that has a high attention to detail, a good personality, team player, and problem solver attitude. No ego's
Nice to Have Skills:
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
- Experience with web scraping and parsing large datasets
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning concepts
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.

Must-Have Skills:
- ML Experience - at least 2+ years

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $95.00 - $95.99 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
