Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Laravel Backend Developer. The Laravel Backend Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the BRG Cloud POS platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing functionality, integrating third-party services, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security. The role involves collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and QA to deliver high-quality releases, troubleshooting production issues, and writing clean, testable, and well-documented code. The developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve development processes and performance across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel, with experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Knowledge of API authentication and security best practices (e.g., OAuth, JWT, data encryption).
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments, containerization, or deployment pipelines (e.g., Docker, CI/CD).
• Ability to write unit and integration tests and work with testing frameworks to ensure code quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with POS, ERP, or business management platforms, and knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architectures, is a plus.
