We're a funded startup experiencing explosive growth, looking for a backend engineer to help scale our infrastructure as we redefine personal computing in the cloud.

What You'll Do:

• Build and optimize backend systems that will power millions of personal cloud computers
• Scale and improve our backend APIs for auth, storage, AI, database, serverless compute, and more
• Improve stability and resiliency to achieve 99.99% availability and beyond
• Shave off milliseconds in response times
• Design impeccable APIs and SDKs to provide the most developer-friendly experience in the world

Requirements:

• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Experience building and contributing to open-source projects
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and database architectures
• Strong expertise in Node.js
• Strong production experience with AWS, Cloudflare, and Terraform

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with cost management on AWS (provisioning, spot instances, prepayment plans, ...)
• Knowledge of observability and telemetry tools and platforms and logging best practices (OTel, Grafana, CloudWatch, Logz, etc)

Compensation:

• $140,000 - $200,000 + equity + benefits
