We are seeking a highly adaptable and hands-on Full Stack Developer who can take ownership of a partially deployed Bill Verification platform for one of our Top clients. The successful candidate must be able to design and develop solutions while also supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates must be based in Cape Town – Northern Suburbs.
• 5–10 years of professional software development experience.
• 4 years of hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, MySQL, SQL, REST APIs, HTML, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with GraphQL, Apollo Server and Express. (MUST)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database development.
• Experience with Prisma ORM.
• Experience with C# / .NET Core and Entity Framework (EF Core).
• Experience with MVC architecture.
• Experience with Azure, including Azure Web Apps, Azure Static Web Apps and/or Azure Blob Storage.
• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines / CI/CD.
• Experience with frontend technologies including Redux, Material-UI and React Router.
• Experience with Mocha and Chai or equivalent unit testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• General knowledge of cybersecurity, secure coding and security best practices.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Support & Maintenance

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues across frontend and backend systems.
• Provide Level 2 technical support to business users and IT teams.
• Investigate and resolve complex application incidents.
• Monitor applications and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Create and maintain accurate bug reports and technical documentation.

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop and maintain new processes and applications.
• Develop backend components using C#, .NET Core and system APIs.
• Develop and maintain frontend components using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design and technical coordination with team members.
• Perform unit testing and ensure code quality.

Frontend Development

• Build and maintain responsive web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop user interfaces using Material-UI.
• Implement state management using Redux.
• Implement API integrations using Apollo Client and GraphQL Code Generator.
• Manage application routing using React Router.

Maintain code quality using Prettier, ESLint and development best practices.

Backend Development

• Develop scalable APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo Server and Express.
• Define and maintain GraphQL schemas and resolvers using TypeGraphQL.
• Work with Prisma ORM and Microsoft SQL Server for database interactions.
• Implement file storage solutions using Azure Blob Storage.
• Develop and maintain REST API integrations.

Deployment, DevOps & Quality

• Support CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Deploy applications to Azure Web Apps and Azure Static Web Apps.
• Maintain code integrity through pre-commit hooks and automated testing.
• Implement robust validation and error-handling mechanisms.
• Apply security best practices across authentication, authorisation and data storage.

ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE

• Angular experience.
• .NET MAUI experience.
• SaaS product development experience.
• Cloud deployment experience on Azure.
• Experience with additional frontend libraries and frameworks.
• Understanding of compliance standards and secure software development practices.
