ABOUT THE ROLE:

Looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who takes the interface seriously and is ready to build scalable, data-driven software that powers the next phase of growth. Working closely with the team — including the CEO/ founder, the Principal Engineer, and the Lead Data Scientist — you'll design systems that strengthen the data infrastructure, accelerate insights, and elevate the end-user experience, while helping to shape the engineering standards that will define at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, thrives working across the stack, has a deep curiosity for data at scale, and is genuinely obsessed with the end user. You will own features end to end, from the schema to the pixel. That means designing the data model, writing the API, building the interface, and shipping it. You will ship things that customers see within your first month.

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you'll join a highly motivated team building and evolving the core services that power the platform - laying the foundation for the products delivered to customers and expand globally.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Own features end to end, from data model through API to production interface, on a weekly release cadence.
• Build interfaces that make dense sensor and performance data legible at a glance: charts, dashboards, and athlete views that hold up on a phone at a practice facility.
• Design and evolve the data model behind our core metrics, including time-series session data, and make the modeling calls that determine what the product can do a year from now.
• Scale the data pipeline and AWS infrastructure as the company adds markets, languages, and camera and video ingest. Set the engineering standards this team will run on: code review norms, testing, and decide what to build next.
• Work directly with the CEO, Principal Engineer, and Lead Data Scientist on what ships and why, including requirements, architecture, and tradeoffs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years building production full-stack applications, with at least 3 years in data-intensive products.
• Strong front-end craft in React and TypeScript, including data visualization work (D3, Recharts, or equivalent). You should be able to show shipped interfaces you designed the look and behavior of, not just wired up.
• Real fluency with relational data modeling and query performance on large tables. You understand how a schema decision today becomes a downstream problem later.
• Experience shipping on AWS in a production environment.
• A track record of owning a feature from spec to production without a platform team, SRE team, or dedicated QA behind you. Large company experience is a plus if it comes with evidence you can operate without that support structure.
• Clear written communication and a genuine interest in mentoring. On a team this size, how you explain a decision matters as much as the decision.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with athletic performance data or coaching workflows in any sport. You will be building for coaches, and knowing what they care about shortens every conversation.
• Experience shipping user-facing AI features, or heavy use of AI coding tools in your own workflow.
• Embedded, IoT, or sensor data experience.
• Comfort working across time zones with a distributed team.
• Passionate around the sports technology ecosystem.
• Being a former athlete is really nice to have.
